Mohit works as the Director of Engineering at Yahoo, leading the growth initiatives of the organization. He has the experience of having built, scaled and led global teams managing some of the world’s largest apps including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Messenger and Grindr. He has assumed different roles as a web developer, product manager and engineering manager, and received numerous recognitions by winning multiple hackathons and CEO Challenges. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Yahoo Super Star award in 2015 for his individual contributions and the Master Inventor award in 2018 for an extensive number of patent filings, in numerous fields.
Mohit has seventeen years of experience sharing his expertise through presentations and publications on numerous topics at worldwide conferences, at his own company and at academic institutions. He presented his work at TechEx North America (2022), the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference (2018-2023), Silicon Valley Code Camp (2016-2019) and Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan Conference in 2007. He has also presented at the University of Southern California, Indian Institute of Technology – Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi.
Earlier, he graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science. His thesis emphasized Game Theory and Human Behavior concepts as applied in real-world security games. What adds a feather to his cap are Mohit’s poetic skills. Some of his works are part of the University of Southern California Libraries archive under cover of The Lewis Carroll Collection. When not coding, Mohit spends his time exploring new cities, playing Cricket or developing strategies for winning his latest board game adventure.
