Kent Yan began his business career as a production engineer in PepsiCo in China’s tech capital, Shenzhen, after graduating from Zhejiang University. While working in Shenzhen, Kent also built his own company trading computers between Hong Kong and China.
Kent continued his professional development in the United States when he attended MIT and obtained a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Following this, he joined the MIT Sloan School of Management and graduated with an MBA in Finance.
Kent worked for Deutsch Bank Securities in Hong Kong, where he helped win the global co-lead position for China Telecom’s IPO. He also worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as IT manager. Soon after, Kent started his own company helping major US brands, such as Anheuser-Busch, Constellation Brand, Anderson Windows, and Babcock Power, source manufacturing from China.
It is through this long career path that Kent has accumulated broad knowledge and experience in technology, finance and international trade. He forged ahead to found TraDove, a B2B social network company, which solves the fundamental problems in B2B and allows buying and selling partners to do business faster and better.
