Karthik Swarnam is VP Security Architecture. In this role, he is responsible for protecting the company’s information assets and securing AT&T’s network.

Karthik’s team is responsible for Security Architecture, Research and Development, Mobility Security, Security, Awareness, Emerging Solutions, Next Generation Products, Product/Services Security, and Enterprise
Security.

Transforming the security function at AT&T to be data powered virtualized security at the asset is a key focus. Karthik protects the business by providing leadership in information security management, technical
architecture, and infrastructure solutions. He contributes to the company’s growth by providing strategic thinking and facilitating innovative solutions and product development. His extensive experience working
with global organizations; include securing Mergers and Acquisitions, implementing technology, process and change-management initiatives required to realize improvements in security posture, regulatory compliance,
cost, revenue, and quality objectives.

Previously Karthik was the CISO for DirecTV and prior to that Global CISO for Transunion. Karthik has over 20 years of Information Security experience has an MS in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University. He
earned a BS in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from Annamalai University.
