Hala V. Furst is the Director of Cybersecurity and Innovation for the Department of Homeland Security’s Private Sector Office, creating strategic relationships between DHS Headquarters, components, the Washington policy community, and global industry partners, focusing on cybersecurity and innovative technology.

Previously she led the stakeholder outreach effort for the second Quadrennial Homeland Security Review, and was detailed to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, working for the Majority Staff (D) on cybersecurity legislation. She joined DHS as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2010, and is currently a Senior Excellence in Government Fellow with the Partnership for Public Service.
