Ken has spent over 38 years in the insurance industry in the UK, Europe and Asia mainly in corporate and strategic development roles. In this time, Ken has worked for Eagle Star, British American Financial Services, Direct Line and Ageas UK.
He has been advising Ageas Group on long terms strategies to deal with potential future disruption. This covers things like horizon scanning, future trends and specifically, blockchain strategies. His outlook is focused on anticipating what lies ahead and testing the resilience of current strategies and capabilities against plausible futures. Ken describes this as making sure that you avoid the question “why didn’t we see that coming?”. The point is that you cannot predict the future but at least if you have thought about it, then you have a better chance of dealing with it.
Ken worked with Ageas for over 10 years and initiated the process for Ageas to join B3i. Ageas is now a founding shareholder in the new company. Ken is currently supporting B3i through the leadership of its marketing and communications as Chief Marketing Officer.
