Drs. ir. Duco J.H. Drenth (The Netherlands) graduated from both the faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering at Delft Technical University (section ‘Production Geology’) as from the faculty of Law at Leiden University (section ‘Administrative Law’). He is a qualified European Engineer (Eur. Eng, FEANI, Paris, 1994) and Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIMM, Engineering Council, London, 1995).
He has over 25 years of experience within the energy and industrial sector in the areas of technology and law, business development, innovation, strategy, permitting, contracting, due diligence, assurance, risk management, regulatory affairs, Health, Safety & Environment, subsidy-trajectories, and (general) project management and support. He has executed many complex consultancy assignments for both commercial and governmental organisations.
Since 2016 he is Member of the Programme Committee of the ‘SprintRobotics Collaborative’ (http://www.sprintrobotics.org) in his function of Director New Technologies for Dietsmann (www.dietsmann.com). Scouting and selecting innovative technologies that could bring new business opportunities or improve existing performance and operations is one of his main tasks.
