Anna Burzykowska is working as a Copernicus Officer at the European Space Agency, Directorate of Earth Observations Programmes (D/EOP). She has joined ESA in 2008 and held positions at the ESA European Space Research Institute (ESRIN) in Frascati, ESA Washington Office as well as the World Bank Group where she was responsible for a bilateral cooperation with the key global International Financing Institutions demonstrating satellite remote sensing applications for sustainable development. As a Technical Officer she also spearheaded EO applications engineering in environmental management, ecosystems services and agriculture domains. She is currently coordinating the ESA Cross Directorates Working Group on Distibuted Ledger Technologies and leading several projects dedicated to blockchain innovation in the Earth Observation sector. Ms. Burzykowska has also held positions at the UNFCCC COP 14 Task Force as well as Space Research Center in Poland. She is a graduate of the Technical University of Graz (MEng), the King’s College London (MSc), University of Leiden (LLM) and Warsaw University (MA).
