Neil is an Innovator experienced in creating technology enabled business with Start-Ups, Corporates and Governments from idea generation, prototyping, commercialisation, general management and building business models. His achievements include the development and leadership of a £250m smart metering programme in the UK, the strategic energy partnership with Nest in Europe and the development of a blockchain-enabled prototype with the UK Government.

 

Neil is currently working in a start-up developing a suite of applications, including payments and messaging, enabled by secure digital identity and blockchain technology. He is also an Advisory Board Member for the ID2020 Summit, whose mission is to solve issues caused through the lack of legal identity within the most vulnerable of people across the globe.

 

Neil has held senior level positions in the Energy Sector with BG Group, PwC, IBM, United Utilities, RWE and npower as well as a number of advisory positions on external industry bodies, including Smart Energy GB.

 

He has a BSc (hons) in Physics, a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from London Business School.
